Role Overview

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll design, develop, and maintain responsive Java/React applications for clients in Washington, DC. You will contribute to full-stack solutions across backend (Java, Spring, ORM) and frontend (React, JavaScript, CSS) while ensuring robust architecture, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-stack development of Java 17+ applications with Spring MVC/Spring Security.
  • Develop and maintain responsive web interfaces using React (preferred) or Angular.
  • Build RESTful APIs and service/data layers with Hibernate or other ORM frameworks.
  • Maintain and refactor existing code to meet evolving requirements.
  • Participate in design, coding, testing, and debugging of software.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support application/system functionality.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years in software development with full-stack emphasis.
  • Strong experience with Java 17+, Spring Framework 6, Spring MVC, Spring Security.
  • Professional experience building modern web applications using React or Angular.
  • 3+ years UI development (JavaScript, CSS) experience.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and ORM tools (Hibernate).
  • Familiarity with build and deployment tools like Maven.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, coding standards, and troubleshooting.

Preferred / Additional Skills

  • HTML5 responsive UI development (React, jQuery, Bootstrap).
  • Experience with cloud environments and REST API design.
  • Knowledge of accessibility/508 compliance and testing tools.
  • Source control tools (Git preferred).
