Role Overview: Senior Scrum Master

The Senior Scrum Master will support multiple engineering teams, ensuring high-quality, high-velocity software delivery. This role suits a servant-leader with deep Agile expertise, technical understanding of .NET and CI/CD tools, and the ability to coach teams toward continuous improvement.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and architecture leads to:

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Team Leadership

  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple Scrum/Kanban teams.
  • Facilitate core Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Coach teams on story sizing, flow efficiency, definition of ready/done, and iterative delivery.
  • Monitor metrics like throughput, cycle time, WIP, capacity, and predictability.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize and prepare backlogs.

Agile Coaching & Organizational Maturity

  • Provide coaching to engineers, product managers, and leaders.
  • Support cross-team coordination, dependency management, and enterprise planning.
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, accountability, and transparency.

Technical Alignment & Workflow Optimization

  • Collaborate with DevOps to optimize CI/CD pipelines and shift-left quality practices.
  • Align workflows in .NET development environments, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
  • Identify bottlenecks and systemic issues affecting delivery performance.
  • Promote best practices in code review, branching strategy, release management, and automation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Managers for backlog grooming and roadmap planning.
  • Ensure alignment with QA, Architecture, and Security teams.
  • Provide leadership and stakeholders with risk, dependency, and progress updates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or Agile Coach.
  • Experience managing multiple Agile teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong familiarity with .NET development, modern engineering workflows, and DevOps practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP frameworks.
  • Proven ability to drive measurable team performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant-leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CSM, PSM, SAFe, or ACP certification (PMP preferred).
  • Experience in enterprise engineering environments.
  • Background in Agile transformation, scaling Agile, or implementing DevOps culture.
  • Familiarity with metrics tools like Azure Boards Insights, Jira dashboards, or Power BI.
