About the Role
As a Senior SAP EWM Functional Lead, you will own and evolve the Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) capabilities supporting Leo Production Systems. You will design and implement scalable warehouse solutions to meet full-rate production demands within a fast-paced, multi-plant manufacturing environment.
This role combines deep SAP EWM expertise with cross-functional leadership to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and factory fulfillment processes.
Key Responsibilities
EWM Strategy & System Design
- Define and execute enterprise EWM strategy aligned to manufacturing needs
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable system designs
- Lead prototyping, configuration, testing, training, and support procedures
- Deliver practical solutions under multiple deadlines
Implementation & Enhancement
- Lead large and complex EWM implementation and enhancement projects
- Drive improvements to RF (Radio Frequency) and mobile data entry functionality
- Design and test enhancements including user exits, custom reports, and new features
- Author functional specifications for EWM and inventory management
Production & Operational Support
- Serve as the focal point for EWM-related production support tickets
- Support end users across inventory management and warehouse processes
- Ensure KPI and SLA adherence
- Maintain and support SAP EWM solutions in a discrete manufacturing environment
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with enterprise architects, developers, consultants, and business leaders
- Support multi-plant, multi-warehouse operations
- Collaborate across Leo business units to drive process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of hands-on SAP EWM configuration experience
- At least 1 full end-to-end SAP EWM implementation (preferably in discrete manufacturing)
- Experience with:
- Quality Inspection processes
- Physical Inventory configuration
- Slotting and Rearrangement
- Post Processing Framework (PPF)
- Output configuration (Master Data, Warehouse Structure, Dock)
- Direct goods receipt and goods issue via STO
- Putaway and picking strategies
- Kitting processes
- Handling Unit and Batch Management
- Strong understanding of master data and transactional object interdependencies
- Experience enabling handheld/mobile RF solutions
- Ability to write detailed functional specifications
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in warehouse projects within manufacturing using SAP EWM/WM
- Master’s degree in IT, Supply Chain, or related field
- Knowledge of SAP MM, PP, or QM modules
- Experience in Aerospace/Defense industries or ITAR-controlled environments
- Experience using ABAP or QuickViewer for reporting and queries
- Experience driving adoption of new tools and system capabilities
