About the Role
Amazon is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our Finance and Business Integration (FBI) team. In this role, you will support and influence the launches of Amazon’s newest global business initiatives spanning consumer products, digital initiatives, merchant operations, logistics, payments, and cloud computing.
You will collaborate with global financial systems teams, accounting operations, tax, treasury, and other stakeholders, representing the accounting organization and driving scalable, secure, and flexible solutions. This role requires strong analytical, program management, and finance expertise in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own & Manage: Lead the lifecycle of multiple projects simultaneously from planning, requirements gathering, technology partnerships, UAT, project closing, and stakeholder engagement.
- Automate: Lead projects that design processes and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial statements.
- Support Expansion: Implement controlled processes to ensure Amazon’s financial statements remain materially correct during business growth.
- Consult: Act as a trusted advisor to multiple stakeholder teams across Amazon.
- Make Decisions: Drive projects to completion with empowered, impactful decision-making.
- Collaborate: Work closely with Amazonians across diverse teams and geographies.
About the Team
The Advertising Finance and Business Integration (FBI) team creates and manages programs supporting accounting workstreams for Amazon’s Digital and Devices & Services businesses. Our scope includes financial automation tools, launch acceleration, and compliance, helping scale and optimize Amazon’s financial processes.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in finance or related analytical fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification.
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks (COSO) for control design and operational efficiency.
- Experience with GAAP research tools and FASB codification.
- Prior experience in accounting management with Big Four firms serving Fortune 500 clients.
- Proven ability to research and document support for accounting conclusions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranges by location:
- Culver City, CA | Boston, MA | Portland, OR | Austin, TX | Arlington, VA | Seattle, WA: $95,400 – $163,200 USD/year
- Nashville, TN: $85,900 – $146,900 USD/year
- Sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) may be included.
