Position Purpose
The Senior Manager, Organizational Development (OD) partners closely with business leaders and HR teams to design and implement organizational development solutions aligned with business strategy. Acting as a trusted internal consultant, this role assesses gaps between current and desired organizational states and drives solutions that enhance performance, agility, and effectiveness.
This position plays a critical role in organization design, skills-based job architecture, change management, and strategic alignment, supporting both near-term execution and long-term capability building. Responsibilities include business strategy refinement (as needed), benchmarking, success metric definition, organization design, change facilitation, and post-implementation evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
20% – Business Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and HR Business Partners
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to align evolving business strategies with organizational structure, leadership, and culture
- Partner with leaders to define future-state objectives, success metrics, and OD solutions across structure, processes, systems, and talent
- Design and facilitate leadership workshops, offsites, and planning sessions to drive alignment and decision-making
50% – Organization Design & Planning
- Lead organization design initiatives, including discovery, diagnostics, and future-state design
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of structures, workflows, and processes
- Facilitate stakeholder feedback and alignment throughout design phases
- Drive organizational benchmarking against industry standards and best-fit models
- Develop organizational charts, governance models, operating models, and process maps
20% – Change Management & Communications
- Conduct change impact assessments and develop communication and transition plans
- Partner with leaders to assess and strengthen readiness for change
- Coordinate with learning, communications, compensation, talent acquisition, and HR partners to ensure effective implementation
- Support leaders in navigating change and adoption challenges
10% – Implementation & Adoption Support
- Facilitate adoption of new structures and ways of working through workshops, learning sessions, and integration support
- Track post-implementation success metrics and adoption indicators
- Partner with business leaders and HR to refine solutions and drive continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in organizational design (strongly preferred)
- Proven success leading organization design and change initiatives in complex, matrixed environments
- Certification in Organization Design and/or Change Management (e.g., PROSCI) preferred
- Experience facilitating large-scale workshops and executive leadership sessions
- Strong capability in organizational benchmarking and data-driven decision making
- Ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption of new operating models
- Proficiency in organizational design tools (e.g., Visio, OrgVue, Lucidchart)
- Experience developing role frameworks, skills-based architectures, and process maps
- Master’s degree in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, HR, Business, or related field preferred

Working Conditions
