Position Purpose
The Senior Manager, Organizational Development (OD) partners with business leaders and HR teams to design, implement, and optimize organizational development solutions that align with business strategy. Acting as an internal consultant, this role assesses gaps between current and desired organizational states, facilitates change, and drives adoption to enhance organizational performance and effectiveness.
The role involves strategy refinement, success metric definition, benchmarking, organizational design initiatives, change management, and post-implementation continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership (20%)
- Act as a trusted consultant to business leaders and HR Business Partners.
- Build strong internal relationships to align evolving business strategies with organizational structure, leadership, and culture.
- Facilitate workshops, leadership offsites, and strategic events to ensure robust alignment.
2. Organization Design & Planning (50%)
- Lead organizational design initiatives, including team alignment, stakeholder feedback, and discovery (qualitative and quantitative).
- Conduct benchmarking and recommend improvements for future-state organizations.
- Develop organizational charts, governance models, and process maps.
3. Change Management & Communications (20%)
- Conduct change impact assessments and develop communication plans and materials for leadership and associate transitions.
- Partner with learning, communications, compensation, and HR teams to ensure smooth adoption.
- Enhance leadership readiness to manage change effectively.
4. Implementation & Adoption Support (10%)
- Facilitate adoption of new structures and processes through workshops and change integration support.
- Track post-implementation success metrics and recommend adjustments for optimal adoption.
Reporting & Travel
- Reports to: Senior Director, Organizational Effectiveness
- Direct Reports: None
- Travel: Less than 10% overnight travel
Minimum Qualifications
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in organizational design and change initiatives in complex, matrixed environments
- Certification in Organizational Design is a plus
- Proven experience facilitating large-scale workshops and executive meetings
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and change management skills (PROSCI or equivalent)
- Experience with organizational benchmarking and data-driven improvements
- Ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption
- Proficiency in organizational design tools (Visio, OrgVue, Lucidchart)
- Master’s degree in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, HR, Business, or related field
Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, HR, Business, or related field
- Minimum Experience: 8 years
