Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with 7+ years of IT experience to design and develop scalable, high-performance applications and microservices. You will work closely with cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and front-end developers to deliver innovative solutions that meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user-friendly web applications using Angular and Java.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality.
  • Implement microservices architecture to enhance scalability and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to improve usability, performance, and responsiveness.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, security, and reliability.

Work Model

  • Hybrid work: 3 days onsite per week at a client or Cognizant office in:
    • Jacksonville, FL
    • Dallas, TX
    • Atlanta, GA
    • Charlotte, NC

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years as a Java Full Stack Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and modern development practices.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native development and serverless architecture.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure Boards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salary and Compensation

  • Annual salary: $68,422 – $114,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program based on performance.
