Position Overview

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with 7+ years of experience to design and develop scalable, high-performance applications and microservices. You will collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and front-end developers to deliver innovative solutions and enhance application functionality and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user-friendly web applications using Angular and Java.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality.
  • Implement microservices architecture to improve scalability and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to enhance usability, performance, and application design.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and security.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years as a Java Full Stack Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and modern development practices.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks.
  • Knowledge of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development and serverless architecture.
  • Agile methodology experience and knowledge of tools like Jira or Azure Boards.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and independent working skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salary & Compensation

  • Annual salary: $68,422 – $114,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and plan terms.
