Position Overview
Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with 7+ years of experience to design and develop scalable, high-performance applications and microservices. You will collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and front-end developers to deliver innovative solutions and enhance application functionality and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop user-friendly web applications using Angular and Java.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality.
- Implement microservices architecture to improve scalability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to enhance usability, performance, and application design.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and security.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years as a Java Full Stack Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with microservices architecture and modern development practices.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks.
- Knowledge of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with cloud-native development and serverless architecture.
- Agile methodology experience and knowledge of tools like Jira or Azure Boards.
- Strong problem-solving ability and independent working skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Salary & Compensation
- Annual salary: $68,422 – $114,000, based on experience and qualifications.
- Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and plan terms.
