Overview

Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer – Authoring Platform to join the Commercialization IT team. This role focuses on leading and contributing to the design, development, configuration, and deployment of digital authoring and content management solutions that enhance customer engagement and patient outcomes. You’ll work on investment initiatives, innovation projects, and operational enhancements while collaborating across global IT and business teams in a highly regulated, GxP-compliant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of digital authoring tools and frontend solutions
  • Partner with Commercialization IT leaders and cross-functional IT teams to deliver scalable digital capabilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Drive the full development lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, release, and support
  • Develop and support frontend solutions using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks
  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end content lifecycle (creation, storage, review, approval, authoring, distribution)
  • Work extensively with Veeva Vault (PromoMats, MedComms) and Veeva CRM integrations
  • Provide hands-on L2/L3 application support and resolve production issues
  • Design and execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) with focus on security, privacy, performance, and scalability
  • Mentor and coach junior developers, set training goals, and support certifications
  • Contribute to documentation including SDDs, test plans, trace matrices, SOPs, and user guides
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC best practices, validated delivery, and GxP standards
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across platforms and processes

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in an IT technical role
  • 5+ years of web development experience with:
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript
    • React.js or Vue.js
    • Git/GitHub/SVN, NPM
    • API integration (Axios, Fetch)
    • Vite, Docker, AWS S3
    • SQL and database interaction
  • Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault, Veeva CRM, and Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery models
  • Experience with validated systems and GxP compliance
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Preferred / Plus

  • Experience with e-Wizard authoring tool
  • Veeva CLM and Approved Email Admin certification
  • Experience with Veeva API integrations
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Knowledge of content authoring, omnichannel content distribution, and CRM integrations
