Tanaq Technical Services (TTS) is an 8(a) Alaskan Native Small Business delivering Enterprise Integrated Technology Solutions to the Federal Government. We focus on proactive strategies, emerging technologies, and efficient processes to provide seamless, integrated services.

The Senior Front-end Developer will support the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) OCIO, building component-based, responsive web interfaces for AI/ML proofs of concept and pilots.

🛠 Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive web applications using React.js, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks.
  • Implement AI-enabled features in collaboration with data science and design teams.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to ensure accessible, USWDS compliant interfaces (Section 508).
  • Participate in iterative development and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain front-end applications for performance and scalability.
  • Document code, components, and implementations for HUD governance and AI inventory.
  • Partner with back-end, DevOps, and data teams to ship secure and maintainable front ends.

✅ Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of front-end development experience with React.js, HTML, and CSS.
  • Expertise in React and TypeScript.
  • Experience with component-based design, responsive layouts, accessibility standards (USWDS, Section 508, WCAG AA).
  • Knowledge of testing and quality gates (Jest/RTL, Cypress), performance monitoring (Web Vitals), and security standards (OWASP, CSP).
  • Experience with micro frontend patterns, shared component libraries, and Storybook.
  • Familiarity with state/data management (Redux/RTK Query, GraphQL) and integration with REST/GraphQL and ICAM/login.gov.
  • Experience building role-based, auditable UIs for dashboards, adjudication, and configuration in FedRAMP constrained CI/CD.
  • Prior experience in regulated/federal government environments is a plus.
  • Ability to pass federal background checks and maintain required clearance.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • React.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Front-end build tools: Webpack, Babel, NPM/Yarn
  • UI frameworks: Bootstrap, Material-UI, Tailwind
  • Version control: Git, GitHub/GitLab
  • Integrating APIs and working with back-end services
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML model integration into front-end applications
  • Automated testing: Jest, Cypress, Mocha, or similar
  • Other JS frameworks (Angular or Vue) preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud deployments (AWS Amplify, Azure Static Web Apps)
