Overview

As part of the CCS100 Fusion Team, this role focuses on building tools that optimize investment and operational decisions for a world-class, scalable carbon capture system being developed in the US Gulf Coast. The position involves implementing user interfaces for a modern cloud-based web application that enables users to maximize insights from CCS100 model results, while collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Modeling teams to deliver solutions that meet organizational needs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Sciences, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical software project experience
  • 7+ years of combined software development experience focused on front-end development, with delivery of multiple software products
  • In-depth knowledge of Angular and TypeScript, with at least 3 years of experience in each
  • Practical experience with reactive programming concepts, including frameworks such as Angular Signals or RxJS
  • Experience developing user interfaces with complex visualizations and user interactions
  • Experience with modern tech stacks and development of cloud-based applications
  • Strong technical communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in Agile teams
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities and ability to deliver work on time

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience building user interfaces for science and engineering applications
  • Experience developing analytics software platforms with heavy data visualization components
  • Full-stack software development experience, including building application back ends
  • Previous project experience with Python or Palantir’s Ontology SDK

Responsibilities

  • Implement the user interface for a modern cloud-based web application supporting CCS100 model insights
  • Collaborate with CCS100 Product, Design, and Modeling teams to incorporate stakeholder input
  • Work with UI/UX designers and product managers to build web application interfaces
  • Create tests, integrate APIs, and optimize application performance
  • Ensure efficient data movement between modeling and data layers using caching, lazy loading, or similar techniques
  • Build scalable, modular, and reusable code following proper coding and architectural standards
