Amazon Industrial Robotics is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to develop and maintain next-generation robotic systems. This role involves architecting complex embedded systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving engineering solutions that balance performance, reliability, and innovation in a fast-paced R&D environment.

You will play a critical role in shaping the firmware architecture for Amazon’s industrial robots, providing technical guidance, and influencing design decisions that directly impact robotic operations across Amazon fulfillment centers.

💼 Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, or similar languages.
  • Hands-on experience with robotic systems, motor control, or sensor integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware-software co-design.
  • Familiarity with industrial robotics, motion control, or mechatronic systems.
  • Prior experience in mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.
