Job Description

Role Overview:
You are a dynamic and experienced Fashion Designer with 5-6 years of experience looking to join a well-established export house in Gurgaon. Your primary responsibility will be to create seasonal collections and capsule lines that meet specific buyer requirements and market trends. This role will involve studying buyer briefs, interpreting design direction, attending buyer meetings, developing original designs, coordinating with merchandising and sampling teams, conducting market and trend research, and supporting product development based on buyer tech packs.

Key Responsibilities:
– Study buyer briefs and interpret design direction
– Attend buyer meetings and collaborate with merchandising and sampling teams
– Develop original designs aligned with market trends
– Conduct market and trend research to inform design decisions
– Support product development based on buyer tech packs

Qualifications Required:
– 5-6 years of relevant experience in designing for UK/EU/US fashion markets within an export environment
– Proven experience attending buyer meetings
– Strong understanding of fabric sourcing and garment construction
– Ability to meet tight timelines and collaborate across departments
– Strong communication skills and the ability to lead when necessary
