Job Summary

As the Senior Director, Marketing – Marriott Media, you will lead the integrated marketing, brand positioning, creative strategy, and communications for Marriott’s rapidly growing media network. This role is critical in establishing Marriott Media as the leading commerce media network within hospitality and across the broader advertising ecosystem.

You will oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns, public relations, brand governance, and experiential activations while safeguarding Marriott’s brand integrity across partner media strategies. This role requires close collaboration with sales leadership, global PR, creative agencies, and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand Strategy

  • Develop and execute Marriott Media’s integrated marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, industry engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Define and maintain Marriott Media’s external positioning, messaging framework, and value proposition.
  • Own brand guidelines, creative standards, and visual identity for Marriott Media.

Creative & Communications Leadership

  • Lead internal and external creative teams, agencies, and partners to deliver cohesive, high-impact marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with Marriott’s in-house creative agency (Riott House) to bring Marriott Media’s creative vision to life.
  • Ensure advertising partner brands are represented authentically and effectively within Marriott Media channels.

Public Relations & Thought Leadership

  • Partner with Marriott Global PR and external agencies to secure press coverage, announcements, and industry recognition.
  • Cultivate executive visibility through speaking engagements, bylines, panels, and conferences.
  • Represent Marriott Media at major industry events, trade shows, and media opportunities.

Sales & Industry Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Sales to develop B2B branding, sales materials, pitch decks, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support partner-facing narratives that clearly communicate value, performance, and differentiation.

Campaigns, Events & Experiential Marketing

  • Oversee multi-channel campaigns across digital, social, content, and experiential platforms.
  • Lead event marketing and experiential activations that deliver memorable, on-brand experiences.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize using data-driven insights.

Leadership & Management Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage marketing, creative, and experiential associates.
  • Hire, develop, and retain high-performing talent.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and support career development.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
  • Communicate wins, insights, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Drive alignment across global Marriott Media initiatives.

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Manage marketing budgets and expenses.
  • Monitor ROI, revenue performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Align operational strategy with overall business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in hospitality, travel, media, AdTech, brand marketing, or communications.
  • Proven success in building brands and leading high-impact, multi-channel marketing programs.
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing and integrated campaign execution.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and agencies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience working within media networks or advertising platforms.
  • Strong storytelling and creative ideation background.
  • Experience representing brands at global industry events.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $147,000 – $215,400 annually
