  • Colorado: $153,600 – $207,800 annually
  • National Range: $138,200 – $239,000 annually

About the Role

AWS Professional Services (ProServe) is seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Consultant specializing in Application Modernization (AppMod) to help enterprise customers design, migrate, modernize, and optimize applications on AWS.

In this role, you will partner directly with customers to architect scalable, secure, and high-performing AWS solutions aligned to business objectives. You’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the cloud journey—from assessment and migration strategy through implementation and optimization.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring deep technical expertise, modern development experience, and strong communication skills.

What You’ll Do

Solution Architecture & Implementation

  • Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS architectures
  • Lead enterprise application migrations and modernization initiatives
  • Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS best practices
  • Optimize performance, reliability, cost, and security

Application Modernization

  • Refactor and replatform legacy applications
  • Implement microservices and container-based architectures
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tooling
  • Integrate automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions

Customer Advisory

  • Gather and assess business and technical requirements
  • Develop cloud migration and modernization strategies
  • Provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovation
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior technical and business stakeholders

Knowledge Sharing & Leadership

  • Mentor team members and share reusable assets and best practices
  • Contribute to ProServe thought leadership and technical enablement
  • Partner with AWS sales teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN)

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cloud architecture and implementation experience
  • 5+ years working with enterprise customers on cloud transformation initiatives
  • 5+ years of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in at least two of the following:
    • React/ReactJS
    • Java/Kotlin
    • JavaScript
    • Python
    • C/C++, C#
    • Node.js, .NET, PHP, Ruby
  • 3+ years of CI/CD implementation using industry-standard tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong AWS experience across services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation
  • AWS Professional-level certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional)
  • Experience with automation and IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, Python, shell scripting, PowerShell)
  • Experience with large-scale data center migrations to AWS (MGN, Migration Factory, portfolio analysis tools)
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Experience integrating AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Amazon Q)
  • Understanding of AI/ML governance and responsible AI practices
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences
