About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and highly analytical Senior Data Scientist to join our Media & Entertainment analytics team. In this role, you will leverage machine learning and statistical modeling to drive decisions around content strategy, audience insights, marketing effectiveness, and platform performance. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across product, marketing, and content teams to deliver data-powered solutions that enhance viewer engagement and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of ML models and analytics solutions for content personalization, viewership forecasting, audience segmentation, and churn prediction
- Analyze data from OTT platforms, social media, ad platforms, and CRM systems to provide actionable insights
- Design and run experiments (e.g., A/B testing) to evaluate campaign effectiveness and feature performance
- Partner with data engineers to build data pipelines that support robust and scalable model deployment
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership using intuitive storytelling and visualizations
- Stay current on media consumption trends and emerging ML techniques to shape strategic innovation
- Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams across marketing, product, and engineering
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in data science or ML roles, preferably within media, entertainment, or digital content platforms
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch) and SQL; experience with Spark or BigQuery is a plus
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, time-series analysis, clustering, regression, and recommendation systems
- Hands-on experience with tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI for data storytelling
- Knowledge of OTT, streaming platforms, ad tech, or audience measurement tools (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore) is highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, or customer lifetime value modeling
- Experience with NLP or computer vision in a media context (e.g., content tagging, sentiment analysis)
- Exposure to cloud-based ML solutions (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML)
- Passion for media, storytelling, or entertainment products
