Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Data Scientist to join our data science team. In this role, you will lead the development and deployment of advanced machine learning models and analytical solutions that solve high-impact business challenges. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members while driving data-driven strategies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning models for classification, regression, recommendation, clustering, or NLP tasks
  • Translate complex business problems into structured analytical solutions and actionable insights
  • Perform extensive data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and statistical modeling
  • Lead experimentation strategies, including A/B testing and causal inference studies
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to implement data science solutions in production environments
  • Monitor model performance and implement retraining pipelines to ensure accuracy and scalability
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and best practices
  • Stay updated on the latest research in AI/ML and introduce new methodologies where appropriate

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in data science or machine learning roles, with demonstrated leadership on impactful projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and SQL
  • Strong understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, model evaluation, and statistical inference
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying ML models into production using MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Plotly) and dashboarding
  • Experience in specific domains such as e-commerce, fintech, health tech, SaaS, or logistics
  • Contributions to open-source projects, publications, or patents in the AI/ML field
