We’re looking for skilled technicians with hands-on hardware and network troubleshooting experience to support mission-critical data center operations.

Role: Senior Data Center Technician (DCO 4)
Company: Amazon Data Services, Inc.
Locations: Multiple U.S. sites (including VA, PA, GA, OH, MS)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: ~$27 – $54/hour + sign-on bonus, RSUs & full benefits
Relocation: Lump-sum stipend for eligible candidates

Key Responsibilities:
• Server rack installation and hardware break-fix (compute, storage, network)
• Troubleshooting network connectivity, cabling (fiber/copper), and OS issues
• Incident response to maintain service availability
• On-call rotation, maintenance, and change management activities
• Documentation, process improvement, and mentoring new team members
• Coordination with engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholders

Physical & Work Environment:
• Lift/move up to 40 lbs, work in confined or elevated spaces
• Standing/walking up to 8+ hours per shift
• 24/7 operations (day/night shifts possible)
• Travel or temporary assignments during training or site readiness

Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ year server hardware troubleshooting & repair
• 1+ year network/server diagnostics experience
• Knowledge of POST, BIOS, PXE, RAID, GRUB/LILO, Kickstart
• Fiber and copper cabling standards & testing
• Network design and troubleshooting fundamentals

Preferred:
• Data center operations experience (racking/stacking, hot/cold aisles, inventory)
• Customer issue resolution under pressure
• Cabling infrastructure best practices
