Job Overview
The Senior Data Center Facilities Engineer I is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and operational efficiency of mission-critical data center infrastructure. This role focuses on monitoring maintenance activities, managing incidents, conducting site assessments, and providing engineering expertise to support operational excellence and infrastructure development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor ongoing maintenance and repair activities across all data center service lines to ensure compliance with pre-defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage and respond to incidents impacting data center infrastructure, ensuring timely resolution and minimal operational disruption.
  • Conduct site reviews and technical assessments to evaluate suitability for new data center builds and infrastructure expansions.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mission-critical systems, providing technical guidance for on-site operations and functionality.
  • Provide engineering insights to support project planning and ensure alignment with organizational standards and expectations.
  • Support design and operational initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify training needs and contribute to the development of training programs for junior engineers and team members.
  • Mentor and train team members on standard systems, operational procedures, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of data center critical infrastructure, including power, cooling, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience managing incidents and maintenance activities in mission-critical environments.
  • Ability to analyze infrastructure performance and recommend improvements.
  • Knowledge of data center operations, reliability standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data center site selection and facility assessments.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for mission-critical facilities.
  • Previous experience mentoring or training technical teams.
