  • Drive projects from idea to operational production.
  • Contribute to the open-source ecosystem beyond your squad.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain critical backend systems ensuring reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations for owned services.
  • Collaborate with teammates, contribute to design discussions, and support others in development.
  • Learn deeply about cloud products, distributed systems, and Grafana’s codebase.

🔹 What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Pragmatic approach: break down complex challenges and iterate quickly.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a fully remote environment.
  • Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred, Python/C/C++/Rust acceptable).
  • Experience delivering projects from requirements to customer deployment.
  • Familiarity with cloud software and DevOps practices, including on-call rotations.
  • Write clean, robust, performant software maintainable by others.
  • Understand observability systems, knowing when to use metrics, logs, and traces to debug issues.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with queue systems like Kafka.
  • Previous use of Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles.
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts.

🔹 Compensation & Rewards

  • Base Salary: USD 154,445 – USD 185,334 (U.S. candidates).
  • Additional benefits may include equity, bonuses, and other company-specific perks.
  • Actual compensation depends on experience, level, and interview assessment.
