The Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team plays a critical role behind the scenes, ensuring robotics and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operate efficiently to maintain the Amazon Smile promise.

🛠 Job Role: RME Planner

As an RME Planner, you will develop and manage maintenance schedules using:

  • Preventive maintenance programs
  • Predictive maintenance data
  • KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Asset Performance Management (APM) systems

You will support a proactive Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) program to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational excellence.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Screen and analyze work orders to schedule maintenance based on priority and resources
  • Conduct equipment audits and document work requirements
  • Estimate labor hours, materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance tasks
  • Order and manage spare parts inventory for planned and emergency repairs
  • Coordinate with technicians, maintenance managers, and vendors
  • Plan reliability improvement projects using engineering drawings and specifications
  • Drive proactive maintenance programs targeting 85% planned work completion
  • Ensure accurate documentation in Amazon’s maintenance management systems
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 49 lbs, climbing ladders, standing/walking up to 12 hours

✅ Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexible schedule availability (nights, weekends, holidays)
  • 1+ year experience with Microsoft Office
  • 1+ year experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years as Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • 4+ years experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software
  • Experience with Material Handling Systems (MHS) installation & maintenance
