Responsive HTML Email Developer | Cross-Client Compatibility (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled email developer to support the execution of client marketing campaigns.

In this role, you will transform client-provided artwork into responsive HTML email templates. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing emails compatible with various platforms including Outlook, Gmail, and Apple Mail. A keen eye for detail is essential to minimize revisions and ensure timely delivery. Clear, concise communication is critical, as you’ll be working remotely and occasionally under tight deadlines.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in HTML and CSS, with a focus on email development

Deep understanding of email client quirks and responsive email frameworks

Experience using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop for asset export

Knowledge of email design best practices, including accessibility and mobile responsiveness

Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, etc.)

Strong written communication skills and responsiveness via Upwork or email

Responsibilities:

Convert design files (InDesign, Photoshop) into responsive HTML email templates

Ensure consistent rendering across email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail)

Develop email templates compatible with both light and dark modes

Optimize emails for performance, accessibility, and deliverability

Meet tight project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards

Troubleshoot and resolve rendering issues across platforms

Communicate effectively regarding timelines, progress, and any blockers
