What You’ll Do

As the Remote Finance Lead, you’ll oversee end-to-end financial operations while helping shape the future of our finance infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Oversee monthly close and bookkeeping cycles across 20+ entities
  • Ensure accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Manage sales tax reporting and entity setup

AP & AR Management

  • Ensure timely payments and accurate reconciliations
  • Track receivables and ensure Red Hot gets paid what it’s owed

Automation & Reporting

  • Build and automate financial reports and reconciliation processes
  • Develop dashboards to support data-driven decision-making
  • Monitor media buy economics and expense performance

Audit & Controls

  • Establish and enforce internal controls to reduce risk and prevent fraud
  • Maintain clean, audit-ready financial records

Financial Analysis

  • Analyze profitability levers across brands
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, increase margins, and improve cash flow

Infrastructure & Processes

  • Manage banking infrastructure, credit cards, and financial tools
  • Document and improve internal finance processes
  • Streamline commission payouts and operational workflows

External Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison with accountants, bookkeepers, and partners

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks
  • Ability to manage 20+ entities under a single umbrella company
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Journal entries
    • Balance Sheets
    • Income Statements
    • Cash Flow Statements
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills in a fully remote environment

Nice-to-Have (Big Plus)

  • Experience in E-commerce or Direct Response Marketing
  • Previous remote work experience
  • Experience working with merchant processors and payment platforms
