Role Overview
The Remote Data Center Support Engineer (L1) provides first-level technical assistance for data center environments, focusing on incident resolution, infrastructure monitoring, and maintaining service level agreements (SLAs). This role is ideal for early-career IT professionals looking to build hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure and troubleshooting within a global support environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support for data center hardware and IT infrastructure issues.
  • Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for servers, storage, networking, and operating systems.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level engineering teams when required.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes accurately.
  • Assist with configuration, installation support, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures and security standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal technical teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Entry-level experience or internship in IT infrastructure, help desk, or technical support.
  • Basic knowledge of servers, networking concepts, and operating systems.
  • Understanding of incident management and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar foundational certifications.
  • ITIL Foundation (preferred but not mandatory).
