India Time: 6:00 PM – 3:30 AM

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Java Developer to join our remote engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in backend development, database management, and performance optimization, and be comfortable working independently in a distributed team environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java
  • Experience with backend application development
  • Solid understanding of application performance optimization
  • Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL or Oracle)
  • Strong SQL query writing and database design skills

Advantage:

  • Experience with JPA / Hibernate

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS EC2, S3)
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Jboss application server
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle DB

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs
  • Work with relational databases and optimize SQL queries
  • Identify and implement performance improvements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues
  • Collaborate with the remote engineering team
  • Follow best practices for coding, testing, and documentation
