Role Overview

We are seeking a Remote Back-End Developer Intern to join our team and work on exciting mobile and web applications. You will gain hands-on experience building scalable backend systems using Node.js, working with cloud infrastructure, and integrating modern architectures such as microservices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a small team to develop scalable backend systems for mobile/web applications using Node.js.
  • Work with databases (MongoDB), server-side stacks, and cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs with JSON data formats.
  • Ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications for mobile platforms.
  • Support DevOps activities and deployment pipelines.

Requirements

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js back-end development.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, Git version control, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  • Basic understanding of microservice architecture and AWS cloud services.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging skills, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for learning new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and unit testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles, test automation, and TDD.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
