Job Description

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a talented Project Architect – Data Centers to join its Client Programs Market team across multiple U.S. office locations, including Boston, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Seattle, Washington, Albany, New York, and Phoenix, Arizona.

This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on innovative data center projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and global clients. From early design concepts through construction delivery, you will play a key role in shaping high-impact infrastructure projects and building strong client relationships.

About the Role

As a Project Architect, you will oversee the development and execution of architectural construction documents while coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and external partners. You will guide project teams through all phases of design, documentation, and construction administration, ensuring alignment with client standards, jurisdictional requirements, and company quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee production and coordination of contract deliverables including surveys, drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Collaborate with internal design teams to integrate deliverables into project documentation
  • Coordinate with external consultants and project stakeholders
  • Conduct code research, feasibility studies, and coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
  • Support project administration tasks such as meeting documentation, trackers, permits, and reports
  • Maintain compliance with MG2 documentation standards and templates
  • Assist in developing project specifications aligned with scope and design intent
  • Participate in QA/QC reviews of drawings, consultant documents, and specifications
  • Coordinate submissions to permitting authorities and manage approval processes
  • Support construction administration activities including site visits, RFIs, submittals, and field reports
  • Deliver accurate work aligned with project schedules, budgets, and design intent

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm
  • Proven experience working on Data Center projects
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Bluebeam, Miro, and Microsoft Teams
  • Strong experience coordinating architectural construction documentation
  • Knowledge of construction administration processes including RFIs, submittals, and project close-out
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
