Role Overview
As a Program Manager – Data Center, you will lead and manage the end-to-end procurement and asset management lifecycle for infrastructure and engineering operations. This role requires strong expertise in vendor management, procurement governance, logistics coordination, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, SRE, finance, and legal teams.
You will play a critical role in ensuring timely procurement, efficient asset utilization, compliance adherence, and operational excellence across data center environments.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Operations Management
- Lead and manage daily operations of the procurement team.
- Generate and track procurement documentation including PSRs, PRs, and POs for data center hardware, infrastructure, and software licenses.
- Monitor procurement SLAs and proactively escalate delays or risks.
- Coordinate with vendors for quotations, negotiations, order tracking, and delivery timelines.
- Maintain vendor catalogues, BOMs, and pricing databases.
- Drive automation and optimization initiatives to improve procurement efficiency.
Asset & License Management
- Establish and maintain systems for tracking physical data center assets and software licenses.
- Manage warranty renewals, AMCs, and maintenance agreements proactively.
- Oversee logistics coordination to ensure timely equipment and license delivery.
Governance, Compliance & Collaboration
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external audit requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, SRE, Finance, and Legal teams for procurement closures.
- Manage vendor lifecycle, contracts, and renewal processes.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or asset management within large-scale data center or IT environments.
- Hands-on experience managing PSRs, PRs, and POs.
- Strong knowledge of vendor lifecycle management and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in procurement tools, spreadsheets, and reporting systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing complex logistics and inventory systems.
- Team management or leadership experience.
- Understanding of infrastructure procurement (servers, storage, licenses, cloud, DC services).
