About the Role

Carnegie Learning is seeking highly motivated current or former mathematics educators to join our Professional Learning team as Part-Time Professional Learning Specialists (Mathematics).

In this role, you will facilitate engaging, high-quality professional learning experiences for K–12 educators using Carnegie Learning mathematics resources. You’ll serve as a product ambassador, support implementation fidelity, and help improve instructional effectiveness across schools and districts.

This is a part-time, year-round, as-needed role. Candidates are reviewed on an ongoing basis and contacted as customer demand arises.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Learning Facilitation (80%)

  • Deliver engaging professional learning experiences, including:
    • Initial implementation workshops
    • Virtual and in-person workshops
    • State, regional, and national conference presentations
  • Provide job-embedded professional learning such as:
    • Coaching cycles
    • Demonstration lessons
    • Co-teaching
    • Lesson planning and PLC facilitation
  • Design and deliver custom professional learning aligned to district and partner needs

Content & Program Support (15%)

  • Develop correlations, rubrics, and customized curriculum materials
  • Support sales and partnership teams during pre- and post-sales activities, including:
    • RFP and proposal development
    • Presentations and pilot support
  • Provide tutoring services to Carnegie Learning customers, as available

Additional Opportunities (5%)

  • Contribute to evolving initiatives across Professional Learning Design, Product, Sales, and Tutoring Services
  • Perform other duties aligned to expertise and organizational needs

What Your Schedule Looks Like

  • Assignments are optional and flexible
  • Specialists may accept or decline opportunities based on availability
  • Travel is required for on-site professional learning but varies by assignment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • 3+ years of mathematics teaching experience
  • Flexible availability during the school year and/or summer
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
  • Detail-oriented, solution-focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience facilitating professional learning or coaching educators
  • Knowledge of Carnegie Learning mathematics products
  • Experience with district or school instructional infrastructure
  • Background mentoring, leading, or supporting educators
