⚡ About the Role

Amazon is seeking a Power Settlements Operations Manager to support global renewable energy agreements and power purchase agreements (PPAs).

In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on executed renewable energy transactions, overseeing settlement execution, validation, reporting, and performance analysis across Amazon’s growing global energy portfolio.

This is a high-impact role focused on scaling and optimizing Amazon’s renewable energy operations while driving simplification and innovation in portfolio management processes.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Energy Agreement Oversight

  • Support oversight of global energy agreements and renewable PPAs
  • Act as SME on executed renewable energy transactions
  • Ensure accurate representation of power transactions across multiple entities and counterparties

🔹 Power Settlement Management

  • Design and oversee mechanisms for power settlements execution and validation
  • Improve internal processes for transaction accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate settlement reporting

🔹 Portfolio Performance & Reporting

  • Report and analyze energy portfolio performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business impacts
  • Deliver insights that support operational and financial decision-making

🔹 Process Improvement & Scale

  • Lead initiatives to improve energy operations efficiency
  • Drive automation and simplification strategies
  • Scale reporting systems to support Amazon’s expanding energy portfolio

🔹 Environmental Attributes Tracking

  • Support reporting for environmental attributes (RECs, carbon offsets, etc.)
  • Manage tracking and retirement across the portfolio
  • Partner with AWS and Amazon teams on energy program management

🔎 Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding of renewable energy markets and power purchase agreements (PPAs)
  • Experience in energy settlements, portfolio operations, or power market analytics
  • Knowledge of environmental attributes tracking (RECs, carbon credits)
  • Analytical mindset with strong financial and operational reporting skills
  • Experience managing multi-entity, multi-counterparty transactions
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset with ability to scale processes
