Cross Country Education is seeking a highly skilled Virtual DIS Counselor to support a focused school-based caseload during a temporary staffing transition. This is a meaningful opportunity to provide consistency, stability, and continuity of care for students who rely on ERSES and mental health services.

In this role, you’ll help bridge service gaps, onboard new students, and ensure progress toward IEP goals—making a real impact on student success through the end of the school year.

Position Overview

  • Provide approximately 12 hours of virtual services per month, including:
    • 9 hours of ERSES Counseling
    • 3 hours of Social Work / Mental Health services
  • Serve a dedicated caseload of 10+ students
  • Support continuity of care during a staff maternity leave
  • Onboard new students into ERSES services to maintain stability and goal progression
  • Maintain accurate service logs, documentation, and progress monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with IEP mandates and school district standards

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Valid California licensure or credential, including one of the following:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP)
    • Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology or School Social Work
  • Prior experience providing DIS / ERSES counseling in a school-based setting
  • Strong understanding of IEP goals, compliance, and virtual service delivery
