We are seeking a highly experienced NodeJS Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Walmart. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and microservices that power large-scale applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability across platforms. This position is ideal for someone passionate about writing clean code, improving system architecture, and driving best engineering practices.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and related frameworks.
  • Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Integrate backend systems with front-end and third-party services.
  • Ensure performance optimization, code quality, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and design discussions.
  • Work closely with DevOps for CI/CD, cloud deployment, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain production systems.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement.

🛠️ Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and scalable architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
