Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team in San Francisco, CA. Key Responsibilities
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to plan fabrication layouts.
• Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on materials, such as steel, aluminum, and sheet metal.
• Operate various metalworking tools and machinery, including saws, shears, brakes, presses, and grinders.
• Weld and cut metal components using arc, MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques.
• Assemble and fit fabricated metal parts to create complete units or sub-assemblies.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure project requirements are met.

Required Skills
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Expertise in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc).
• Skilled in operating fabrication machinery (saws, shears, brakes, presses).
• Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication processes.
• Ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.
• Excellent spatial reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to safety standards and practices.

Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s degree or vocational training in Metal Fabrication, Welding, or a related field.
• Certification in specific welding processes (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
• Experience with CAD/CAM software for fabrication planning.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
