Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven Marketing Manager to lead engagement and retention initiatives across the customer lifecycle. In this role, you’ll develop and execute campaigns that deepen user engagement, increase customer lifetime value, and reduce churn. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, design, lifecycle marketing, analytics, and customer success teams to deliver personalized, scalable communications across email, push, in-app, SMS, and more.

You will own key metrics related to activation, feature adoption, retention, and re-engagement—turning insights into actionable marketing strategies that drive long-term loyalty and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies to drive user engagement, product adoption, and retention across customer segments
  • Design and manage multichannel lifecycle campaigns (email, push, SMS, in-app) to activate, retain, and re-engage users
  • Own onboarding and education touchpoints, working with product and CX teams to shorten time-to-value
  • Define and track KPIs such as activation rate, churn, DAUs, repeat usage, and LTV
  • Leverage customer data and behavior analytics to segment audiences and deliver personalized messaging
  • Conduct A/B testing and iterate on campaign performance to optimize engagement metrics
  • Collaborate with product and engineering on feature launches and in-product messaging strategy
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the customer journey, pain points, and moments that matter
  • Report regularly on campaign performance and retention trends to key stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in engagement, retention, lifecycle, or CRM marketing
  • Strong understanding of customer journey mapping, segmentation, and behavior-driven campaigns
  • Hands-on experience with lifecycle marketing platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Proven success driving improvements in user activation, feature adoption, and retention
  • Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4, or Tableau
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders
  • Experience in SaaS, subscription, or mobile-first businesses is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master’s a plus)

Preferred:

  • Experience building user journeys across both B2C and B2B products
  • Familiarity with product-led growth (PLG) strategies
  • Strong copywriting and creative sensibility for engagement campaigns
