Salary Range: $151,100 – $202,100 USD (US-based candidates; varies by location internationally)

Role Overview:

ServiceTitan is seeking a hands-on, player/coach Manager of Web Development to lead their Web Team. This role balances technical contribution with people management, overseeing the development and optimization of the company’s flagship marketing websites:

You’ll drive architecture, code quality, and team growth while keeping a strong pulse on technical execution and strategic impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Contribution:

  • Lead high-impact coding tasks, complex bug fixes, and architectural work
  • Conduct critical code reviews and enforce QA standards
  • Remove technical roadblocks and resolve workflow bottlenecks
  • Innovate with new technologies, including AI integration
  • Manage vendor integrations for marketing stack connectivity
  • Lead technical design for scalable, secure features
  • Implement process improvements (CI/CD, coding standards)

People & Team Leadership:

  • Manage Web Developers & QA Engineers, focusing on team health and career growth
  • Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and compensation discussions
  • Maintain team cohesion, motivation, and trust
  • Plan resources and balance team capacity with roadmap priorities

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, JavaScript, React.js, TailwindCSS
  • Backend/Full-stack: Node.js, Static site generators (Next.js, Gatsby), headless CMS (Contentful)
  • Web Standards: WCAG accessibility, SEO best practices, secure coding principles
  • Development Practices: Git, TDD, automated testing, CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Architecture & Problem Solving: Distributed systems, scalable apps, performance optimization
  • Management Skills: Mentorship, communication, team leadership, cross-functional collaboration
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience

Nice-to-have: QA automation experience, REST API design, performance/security engineering
