Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Machine Learning Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions across our products and platforms. In this leadership role, you’ll guide a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists in solving high-impact business problems using predictive modeling, deep learning, and statistical techniques.

You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and analytics stakeholders to align machine learning initiatives with company goals and deliver models that power intelligent user experiences, operational efficiencies, and data-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of end-to-end machine learning solutions — from data exploration and model prototyping to deployment and monitoring
  • Architect and refine ML infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and reproducibility
  • Mentor and manage a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, software engineers, and domain experts to define and deliver on ML roadmaps
  • Promote best practices in feature engineering, experimentation, model evaluation, and explainability
  • Monitor performance of production models and iterate on them to ensure robustness and value
  • Stay current with research and industry trends to drive innovation within the team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (PhD is a plus)
  • 6+ years of experience in machine learning or data science roles, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team lead capacity
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost)
  • Hands-on experience deploying ML models into production environments using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets, SQL, and data engineering tools (e.g., Airflow, Spark, MLflow)
  • Solid understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation techniques, and business KPIs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with recommender systems, NLP, or deep learning models
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., Kubernetes, SageMaker, TFX, model monitoring tools)
  • Proven ability to translate business goals into machine learning objectives
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex models in simple terms
