Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Logistics Data Analyst to join our operations team. In this role, you will transform transportation and supply chain data into actionable insights that improve shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall logistics performance. You’ll work cross-functionally with supply chain, warehouse, procurement, and IT teams to build data models and dashboards that support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze transportation, fulfillment, and distribution data to identify inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for KPIs such as on-time delivery, shipping costs, inventory turnover, and lead time
  • Build models to forecast demand, optimize routing, and evaluate carrier performance
  • Support logistics planning, warehouse optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives through data analysis
  • Collaborate with logistics partners and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and clean data across systems
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports to operations leadership
  • Assist with automation of manual processes using scripts or BI tools

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain data analysis
  • Proficient in SQL and Excel; experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with logistics systems (WMS, TMS, ERP platforms) and transportation data
  • Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages
  • Knowledge of supply chain KPIs, warehouse processes, and logistics operations
  • Exposure to tools like SAP, Oracle SCM, Manhattan Associates, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of inventory management, freight cost modeling, and international logistics
