About the Role:
As a Lead Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for our software products. You will design and implement test automation frameworks, create and execute test cases, and ensure the overall quality of the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases and continuous improvement of our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation Development: Lead the design, development, and execution of test automation frameworks and scripts, ensuring scalable and reusable test cases.
  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Oversee the testing process throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring that the team adheres to quality standards and best practices.
  • Test Case Creation: Write and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases that effectively validate the functionality, performance, and security of software products.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to identify test requirements, resolve defects, and ensure software quality at all stages of development.
  • Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring automated testing occurs at every stage of the development process.
  • Defect Tracking & Reporting: Identify, log, and track defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Performance & Load Testing: Design and implement performance and load tests to ensure that the software performs well under various conditions.
  • Test Coverage: Ensure that automated tests cover the critical features and functionalities of the application.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate testing processes and methodologies, recommending improvements to increase testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and results for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior position.
  • Strong experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation development.
  • In-depth understanding of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into the pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and provide solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams (preferred).
