About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead FullStack Developer to drive the development and launch of a B2B ecommerce platform. This role blends hands-on fullstack development, system architecture, and team leadership for a small engineering team of 2–3 developers. The platform requires rigorous attention to data security, compliance, and access control, making this ideal for developers experienced in regulated or security-conscious environments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead and mentor 2–3 fullstack engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Make architectural decisions to evolve the platform efficiently.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and guide engineering workflows.

FullStack Development

  • Next.js Frontend: React-based, event-driven UI, server-side/client-side rendering, component architecture, performance optimization.
  • Express.js Backend: API routing, dynamic dataset retrieval, data validation, and robust error handling.

Platform & Data Integrity

  • Implement access-control rules ensuring user-specific and customer-specific data visibility.
  • Ensure system reliability and accurate data across all API endpoints.
  • Collaborate with product and QA teams to maintain rigorous test coverage.

Security & Compliance

  • Develop in alignment with CMMC protocols.
  • Protect ITAR-controlled data across operational sites.
  • Implement secure coding practices, monitoring, logging, and auditability.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Translate requirements from product management into technical execution.
  • Prepare platform for production readiness and ongoing iterations.
  • Coordinate with DevOps teams for deployment pipelines, environments, and reliability efforts.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years fullstack development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Next.js (React) and Node.js / Express.js.
  • Experience leading small engineering teams.
  • Expertise in event-driven UI patterns, REST APIs, and secure data handling.
  • Proven track record of delivering production-ready web applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in regulated/security-focused environments.
  • Familiarity with CMMC compliance and ITAR data handling.
  • B2B, enterprise, or multi-tenant platform experience.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server).
  • Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or similar).

Nice-to-Have

  • Role-based access control (RBAC) or attribute-based access control (ABAC).
  • Event-driven backend patterns (queues, workers).
  • DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code).
