Overview

This role leads the frontend engineering track by providing technical direction, mentorship, and oversight of code quality. It focuses on defining and executing a frontend modernization roadmap aligned with enterprise objectives, delivering responsive, accessible, and multilingual user interfaces across multiple platforms while ensuring architectural alignment and long-term scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years in a frontend leadership role
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript with deep hands-on experience in React.js
  • Experience with state management frameworks such as Redux, MobX, or similar
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and principles including OOP, SOLID, and clean architecture applied to frontend development
  • Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), internationalization (i18n), and localization (l10n)
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs, microservices, and CMS/MDM systems
  • Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Mocha
  • Knowledge of cloud deployment and integration with CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on UI performance optimization
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Spanish/English bilingual preferred

Good to Have

  • Experience with Angular or Vue.js
  • Exposure to mobile frameworks such as React Native or Flutter
  • Knowledge of Android and iOS platforms
  • Understanding of server-side rendering using Next.js or Nuxt.js
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries such as Material UI or Ant Design

Responsibilities

  • Lead the frontend engineering track, providing technical direction, mentorship, and code quality oversight
  • Define and implement the frontend modernization roadmap aligned with enterprise objectives
  • Drive development of responsive, accessible, and multilingual user interfaces across platforms including web, mobile, and kiosks
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architect, Backend Lead, and DevOps Lead to ensure architectural alignment
  • Conduct code reviews, technical assessments, and performance optimization for frontend components
  • Evaluate and introduce modern frameworks, UI libraries, and best practices to improve efficiency, maintainability, and scalability
  • Enforce design principles, UI/UX consistency, and coding standards across teams
