About the Role:

USA WINZONS is seeking an entry-level Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic IT security team. In this role, you will assist in safeguarding our organization’s network, systems, and data from cyber threats. As a L1 Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, ensuring that the organization’s IT environment remains secure and compliant.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security systems and logs to detect and respond to potential security incidents
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of security breaches and vulnerabilities
  • Perform initial analysis of security alerts and escalate issues to higher-level analysts when necessary
  • Support security operations by configuring and maintaining security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM)
  • Conduct routine vulnerability assessments and assist in remediation efforts
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement security measures and best practices
  • Document incidents, vulnerabilities, and corrective actions for reporting purposes
  • Assist in maintaining security policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing security training and professional development
  • Provide basic support to internal teams and end-users on security-related issues

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and IT security principles
  • Familiarity with security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software)
  • Understanding of common cyber threats (e.g., malware, phishing, denial-of-service attacks)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for cybersecurity and learning about emerging threats and technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Basic experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
  • CompTIA Security+ or other relevant certifications
  • Previous internship or practical experience in cybersecurity
