Position Overview
Hudson Global Scholars is seeking Part-Time Online Chemistry Teachers to deliver engaging, live instruction to K–12 students in a fully virtual environment. Teachers are responsible for synchronous instruction via Zoom, asynchronous academic support, grading, feedback, and collaboration with academic leadership.
This role offers a unique opportunity to teach students from around the world while working remotely in a structured and supportive academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver live, interactive Chemistry instruction via Zoom
- Plan and implement effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Provide timely grading and feedback (within 24 hours)
- Support student success through regular communication and academic interventions
- Monitor student performance data and escalate concerns when necessary
- Communicate with administrators and parents to support student learning
- Participate in required training and professional development
- Substitute for live classes as needed
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and preparedness for all sessions
- Serve as a subject-area expert and contribute to instructional best practices
- Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned
Faith-Based Program Note
Teachers may be assigned to Catholic faith-based programs. While a personal commitment to the Catholic faith is not required, instructors must:
- Maintain respect for all religious beliefs
- Avoid speaking against religious teachings
- Learn foundational Catholic concepts to support positive classroom relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited U.S. university
- State teaching certification or relevant credential (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of online teaching experience with demonstrated student success
- Experience developing lesson plans and supporting English learners
- Strong ability to facilitate self-guided, web-based learning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail
- High level of comfort with educational technology and virtual teaching platforms
Technology Requirements
- Full PC required (Chromebooks and tablets are not supported)
- Operating Systems:
- Windows 7, 8, 10 (64-bit), or 11

- Linux (varies by distribution)
- Minimum 8GB RAM (16GB recommended)
- Reliable internet connection
- Mobile phone capable of receiving text messages
