Role Overview

As a Junior Web Developer, you will specialize in Shopify theme development and customization. You’ll work closely with designers and developers to bring e-commerce designs to life, ensuring exceptional functionality, performance, and user experience. This role is ideal for someone eager to expand their Shopify expertise in a dynamic, supportive technical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and customize Shopify themes using the Liquid templating language.
  • Build and maintain reusable Liquid components for scalability and consistency.
  • Implement responsive, mobile-first designs across devices.
  • Collaborate with designers to transform mockups into pixel-perfect, interactive themes.
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, and accessibility.
  • Integrate third-party apps and APIs into existing Shopify stores.
  • Troubleshoot and debug theme-related issues efficiently.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices.
  • Stay updated on Shopify platform updates, tools, and ecosystem developments.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of professional web development experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience developing or customizing Shopify themes.
  • Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with React for component-based development.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL and API integrations.
  • Understanding of responsive design and cross-device compatibility.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub for version control.
  • Awareness of e-commerce UX best practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Shopify Plus, Shopify Functions, Rebuy integration
  • TypeScript, SEO optimization, PageSpeed Insights
