About the Role

DevStart Labs is looking for a motivated Junior Web Developer Intern to join our remote team. This is a hands-on internship designed for students, recent graduates, or self-taught developers who want to gain real-world experience in front-end and back-end web development.

You’ll work on live projects, collaborate with experienced developers, and grow your coding skills in a flexible remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, coding, and testing web applications under guidance
  • Maintain and update existing websites and applications
  • Implement new features and improve user experience
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues reported by team members or users
  • Stay updated on emerging web technologies and frameworks
  • Document development processes, code changes, and project progress

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js (preferred)
  • Understanding of back-end technologies like Node.js, Express, or PHP is a plus
  • Exposure to databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team

Experience

  • No professional experience required
  • Prior internships, freelance projects, or personal web development projects are a plus

Working Hours

  • Flexible, remote work schedule
  • Estimated 20–30 hours per week, with potential extension to full-time based on performance
  • Must attend virtual team meetings as scheduled
