Junior Data Analyst/Engineer (Remote)

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst/Engineer to join our growing data team. This hybrid role is ideal for early-career professionals who are eager to apply their technical and analytical skills to real-world problems. You’ll help collect, clean, and structure data for analysis, build data pipelines, and support reporting efforts across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes using tools such as SQL, Python, or cloud services
• Work with senior analysts and engineers to ensure data integrity and consistency across systems
• Support the creation of dashboards and automated reports for various teams using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
• Clean and prepare raw data for analytics, including structuring datasets, identifying anomalies, and correcting inconsistencies
• Document processes, data definitions, and workflow best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, ops) to understand data needs and support business objectives

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–2 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a similar technical role
• Familiarity with SQL and one programming language such as Python or R
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL, and data quality principles
• Experience with Excel/Google Sheets and a willingness to learn BI platforms
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with Git, Jupyter notebooks, or workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt)
• Interest in building scalable data solutions and growing into a specialized analyst or engineering role
• Understanding of APIs and data integration methods
