Indiahikes operates a powerful Trekker Registration System, built using Java Spring Boot, which manages a database of more than 3 lakh trekkers. This system plays a critical role in managing registrations, trek logistics, and user data efficiently.

To enhance and maintain this system, Indiahikes is looking for a Java Spring Boot Developer who can contribute to improving system performance, developing new features, and ensuring smooth operations.

Job Details

Position: Java Spring Boot Developer
Job Type: Freelance / Part-time
Work Location: Remote
Experience Required: Minimum 4 years
Working Hours: 15–20 hours per week

This role involves maintaining and improving the Indiahikes Trekker Registration System, ensuring seamless functionality and minimal downtime for users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new features for the trekker registration system using Java and Spring Boot
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in the system
• Deploy updates and ensure smooth system operation with minimal downtime
• Implement security measures to protect the application from vulnerabilities
• Manage and optimize interactions with external and embedded databases
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code
• Document technical specifications, system architecture, and user manuals
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve system functionality

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Java ecosystem and frameworks
• Understanding of software design patterns and architecture
• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
• Knowledge of database management and integration
• Understanding of Java class loading mechanisms
• Experience implementing application security practices
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Java development
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot-based applications
• Experience working with large-scale systems and databases
• Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
• Good documentation and communication skills

Working Schedule

• Part-time commitment of 15–20 hours per week
