Location: Remote (Work from Home)
Commitment: 15–20 hours per week
Experience Required: Minimum 4 years in Java development

About the Role

Indiahikes manages a trekker registration system built on Java Spring Boot, handling a database of over 3 lakh trekkers. We are seeking a skilled Java developer to maintain, enhance, and optimize this system. Your work will ensure seamless registration, smooth functionality, and minimal downtime for trekkers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and enhancements for the registration system.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and fix issues in existing code.
  • Deploy updates with minimal downtime for end users.
  • Implement security measures to protect the application.
  • Document technical specifications, user manuals, and relevant processes.
  • Ensure the system adheres to best practices in coding and architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with knowledge of its ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with design and architectural patterns.
  • Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable Java code.
  • Basic understanding of Java class loading mechanisms.
  • Experience handling external and embedded databases.
  • Knowledge of application security and best practices.
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation.
