Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid / Onsite)
Experience Level: Early Career (1–3 years or strong internship experience)

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

  • Design, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs powering core applications, including data integrations and reporting features.
  • Build robust application logic and business rules that address real-world client needs.
  • Write clean, modular, and efficient Java code aligned with best practices.

Team Collaboration

  • Partner with analysts, application owners, and UI engineers for end-to-end solutions.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Stay engaged by asking questions and contributing ideas to drive continuous growth.

Problem Solving & Maintenance

  • Maintain and support existing offerings, focusing on full user experience.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
  • Improve platform stability, performance, and security.
  • Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities while adhering to modern best practices.
  • Document processes and contribute to internal tools and shared team knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of Java development or strong internship experience.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with Spring or Hibernate (a plus).
    • Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
    • Comfortable using Git and working in an Agile environment.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Must like dogs (office perk!).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $117,000 – $135,000 (reflects location, experience, and qualifications).
  • Eligible for variable incentive compensation.
