Location: Remote – any location in EST or CST time zone
Company: Fortune 500 client
Contract: 3 months (with possible extensions)

Rate: Market-based (aligned with experience – ~7 years Java)

Role Overview

Seeking a senior Java developer with strong Angular front-end experience to work on workflow systems and web/REST services. The role involves building, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise-level applications for a Fortune 500 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop enterprise applications using Java (7+ years experience).
  • Build front-end features using Angular (2+ projects required).
  • Design and implement RESTful web services.
  • Work with workflow systems using open-source workflow packages.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with remote teams across EST/CST time zones.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
  • Experience in ≥2 projects using Angular (versions relevant to the company stack).
  • Strong knowledge of REST API development.
  • Experience implementing workflow systems.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work in a remote Agile environment.
  • Good communication skills for virtual collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Fortune 500 environments.
  • Familiarity with remote work best practices and time zone coordination.
  • Experience with full-stack development (back-end Java + front-end Angular).
