Alpha Consulting Corp. is seeking a Java Backend Developer for a 6-month contract position. The role involves understanding business and system requirements to develop system architecture and high-level design documents, while also ensuring that implementation aligns with approved architecture and design.
Responsibilities
• Understand business and system requirements and develop:
• System architecture
• High-level design documents
• Define:
• Non-functional requirements
• Capacity planning
• System integration approaches
• Solutions to key technical problems
• Drive the project to ensure implementation aligns with approved architecture and design by conducting:
• Design reviews
• Code reviews
• Support for performance testing
• Define and manage:
• Deployment strategies
• Rollback strategies
• Migration strategies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-driven and eager to scale up and take on increased responsibilities
Skills
• 4-7 years of Java Architecture experience
• Hands-on development and design experience
• Proficient in Core Java and J2EE technologies
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications
• Strong knowledge of web services
• Strong knowledge of JMS
• Strong knowledge of LDAP
• Strong knowledge of security concepts
• Experience working in a senior designer or architect role
• Knowledge of frameworks including Struts, Spring, and Hibernate
• Exposure to integration technologies such as DataPower
• Sound knowledge and experience working with enterprise database products such as Oracle
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-driven and eager to scale up and take on increased responsibilities
• Engineering degree required
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications
• Experience working in a senior designer or architect role in previous assignments
